IUNA IUNA
Students are close to winning a historic victory. The government's education emptying and adaptation of management IUNA had to confront a student movement that does not get tired of fighting. The constant attacks by the administration and its supporters to the organization, legitimacy and control measures we conducted were not enough to twist the arm. Conversely, we who "turned aside his plans" (as the Chancellor in his statement.)
After the meeting held on the second day of the Chancellor's decision, the management stopped the dialogue with students in conflict and sent two statements urging the lifting of the shots in defense of democratic institutions and emphasizing the new steps being carried to rent out a building of greater proportions. In turn informed the meeting that the Chancellor had with the deans and the University Policies Secretariat of the Ministry to proceed with the hire that ultimately it was a building of 5700m2. The fact is that students class had no proof of this progress.
To continue with our claim to the Chancellor and the Ministry we demand for the Friday 8. The crisis generated by the call, rushed the acceleration of the procedures and meetings. Finally, the same Friday, hours before the march, we were called to gather at the Ministry, where we receive the booking confirmation of the new building and the subsequent request to terminate the demonstration.
students also got out of the Chancellor to the Ministry in celebration of this breakthrough and claim, both the signature of the request by the Chancellor, as this book will become a contract shortly.
Students will meet Tuesday to discuss the situation and resolve the next steps. We expect the Chancellor to sign the petition to then, as it is the missing element for progress in this first series of claims by those who decided to keep the Chancellor's decision.
We have a show withering of the ability of the organization and independent students struggle against the institutions, so often identified by the authorities and students who are with management. It turns out that the institutions and organs of government designated as the democratic channel to make decisions and improve our university, there are more than the adaptation to the time and resources imposed by government education policy.
We want students who do not agree with the measures used to analyze the problems produced but taking into account the historical accomplishments we achieved.
Let the path of the student organization independent of management and governance.
We have far to go from the consolidation of these conquests.
Interdepartmental Assembly takes the Chancellor
