: Red Food Bank Argentina

By Gabriela Caffaro
Under the Department of Culture Solidarity convenor of the Red Solidaria I know a number of NGOs dealing with various problems we face as a society. An NGO is a public entity, with different purposes and humanitarian and social objectives defined by its members, created independently of the local, regional and national, as well as international organizations. legally adopted different status, such as associations, foundations and / or cooperative, some of its members work volunteers and others as contract workers and their financing is from donations from individuals, companies or subsidies of public administrations, international organizations and other NGOs.
From today I'm going tell you something about each of them and calling all to join to work either from direct action or the mere dissemination. Will be surprised with some of them, their work is so quiet, essential in many cases and although this is not properly spread the work carried out. RED
FOOD BANK ARGENTINA
The mission of this Network is to enhance the action of the Food Bank operating in the country developing strategic alliances favor the reduction of hunger and malnutrition, promote nutrition education and contribute to these actions to the promotion of the dignity of each human being from Argentina. Its objectives: 
promote the creation of new Food Banks,
 Promote the creation of alliances to reduce hunger and malnutrition,
 Facilitating the donation and distribution of food,
 Strengthen the professionalism in the certification process of Food Banks through audits.
In Argentina there are 12 food banks that attended last year to 1,050 organizations and through them to 155,000 personas. This inclusion is through some requirements such as having legal personality and have a minimum of six months of life. Are given up to 30% of the resources they need and that they can ensure full on one side and the other is one way that institutions are not part of the Bank and remain active looking for new ways to source. Bank members prior visit to the Organization and evaluate facilities there, number of people attending and needs to be filled. Through programs they coordinate provide training on nutrition and implement quality standards for processes that undergo food (handling, storage, cooking, etc.).
can work with this organization by donating food, transportation, services, money and time, this is very important to help improve the nutritional status of our country. Once a year is the National Food COLLECTION "ADD ONE MORE TO YOUR TABLE." This year will be held its 8th edition on Saturday 13 November, where individuals can participate by buying a food more than we were looking and that it is carried out in hypermarkets or adding our volunteers donating a couple of hours to collect the products. Argentina
Network of Food Banks is supported by 50% with the symbolic contribution of the organizations attending and the remaining 50% through donations and fundraising events (concerts, charity dinners, etc..) Much more information on the NGO's found on their website: www.redbancosdealimentos.org
